The Oceanic State of Climate Change: A Reflection of Hurricane Helene's Path Through WNC"

We were without power for three days. We had a lot of yard debris and downed trees in the woods around our house. But still, no damage to any of our personal structures and no flooding in our immediate area. That didn't stop the gut punch I felt when the images in the mountain areas not very far away were washed away in torrential rains, flooding, mud slides and tornadoes. Rather than looking at the increased severity of storms being a symptom of climate change, we listen as conspiracy theorists claim one party is not sending out aid or that the government controls the weather. All I can say to all of that is take heed; there is karma for that....
